?Duck Dynasty? Star Phil Robertson: A&E Reverses Suspension
A&E announced the suspension of ‘Duck Dynasty’ star Phil Robertson has been reversed. The patriarch will return to the series in 2014 in its fifth season. The network’s decision to suspend him for the controversial comments he made about homosexuality in an interview with GQ had also proved controversial. The reversal was sudden, and was announced in a statement by the network late on a Friday afternoon, two days after Christmas day which, incidentally, saw the network running a previously schedule marathon of episodes of the ‘Duck Dynasty’ series which features Phil Robertson, the 67-year-old founder of the multimillion dollar Duck Commando company around which the show is based. With an average viewership of around 12 million, ‘Duck Dynasty — which focuses on the Robertson family in Louisiana and its patriarch Phil Robertson — is the most popular reality TV show currently on television.
