Alec Baldwin Apologizes for Homophobic Slur as MSNBC Suspends His Show
As MSBC suspends his TV show, Alec Baldwin is apologizing for his use of a homophobic slur during a run-in with a photographer. His conduct, captured on video for all to see, has created a media firestorm that, like fires in nature, changes by the second. It’s difficult to keep up. After a series of run-ins with paparazzi and media in general and the gay slur in particular, the 55-year-old actor and former ’30 Rock’ star, and lately host of the talk show ‘Up Late with Alec Baldwin,’ has been suspended for two weeks by MSNBC. The penalty and public rebuke is for allegedly calling a photographer a “c***sucking f**” (video below). As noted it’s one of several run-ins during the week that saw him testify in court during the trial of the Canadian actress, Genevieve Sabourin, accused and later convicted and sentenced for stalking him. Alec Baldwin issued a statement, posted on the MSNBC Web site in which he apologizes.
